RE; THE MARIAH CAREY QUOTE.
This is a complete lie, and frankly poor, trashy journalism.
It has been brought up repeatedly over the years and always been proved false.
Mariah did not say it and never would.
Why is there never any attention given to the endless humanitarian and charity work MC does. She has been recognised and awarded many times for her philanthropy, but all that gets mentioned in the media is what dress she was wearing or some stupid made up lies such as this one.
She does so much work the fresh air fund they named a whole camp for disadvantaged kids after her - camp mariah!
And she is an ambassador for the world hunger fund.
And off the radar, over the years she turns up at various childrens homes over christmas and has whole theme parks and toy stores opened up for them, all at her own expense, low key, not a media circus, yet all trashy "journalist" on sites such as this report is rubbish like this or what she is wearing or her weight or some other nonsense.

That Mariah Carey quote is made up nonsense. Just more AOL nonsense like the majority of articles they write. I love Mariah Carey and her music and she has done so much to help people less fortunate than herself, I will be saying goodbye to my AOL account. Plenty of other internet providers to choose from.
Fucking stupid people go and learn how to write an article without slagging someone off for no reason just to make you feel better about yourselves. Jealousy is a mother fucker.

AOL, I really think you should do your home work before publishing false quotes!
I can't stand Mariah Carey. I hate her squealing in her songs and the way she portrays herself, BUT the Mariah Carey quote you have here dates back to 1996 and was proved FALSE!
Surely you should've known that before publishing this article?!

what she acutally said when asked how she felt about performing for live aid:
" im looking forward to it. i have been starving myself to get into this dress!"
these comments were in bad taste considering the nature of the concert but it was blown way out of proportion.
